The story behind the project

From scientific research to a love of maps

A civil engineer by training, I have spent the last 15 years working as a research engineer, navigating between the excitement of startups and the demands of the academic world. My daily life revolved around machine learning, mathematical modeling of complex scientific problems, and the creation of web tools for data processing. But in the background, I have always nurtured a true fascination for cartography, and more specifically for the raw beauty of relief maps.

The alignment of the planets

Today, we live in a wonderful era for this field. Thanks to the hard work of a passionate open-source community and the opening up of incredibly rich geographical data (driven in particular by major European and national programs), all the conditions are met. We finally have the technology and the raw material to shape a product of excellence.

Our mission

The goal is simple: to offer a unique, aesthetic, and precise object that will speak to all enthusiasts, to those who deeply love their neighborhood, their region, or a place that has marked their life. Moreover, from design to manufacturing, all our maps come to life locally, in our workshop in Brussels, Belgium.

Of course, I am not leading this adventure alone. I am lucky to be surrounded by a team that is as wonderful as it is professional, helping me transform this vision into reality every day.
